BABY’S MATERNITY SUITCASE

Ma Première Valise is above all the first concept of maternity suitcases which supports future parents in preparing their baby's maternity suitcase, with a 100% ORGANIC cotton collection, for a peaceful departure to the maternity ward. In an ethical approach, the brand also distributes more than 120,000 organic & eco-responsible maternity boxes , each year, in more than 30 maternity wards and more than 500 releasable midwives' offices across France.

A trusted friend and partner for several years, we share the same values around eco-responsibility and both wish to educate young people and future parents about more ethical and intelligent consumption.

Concerned about making life easier for future and young parents, Ma Première Valise also includes 100% of the maternity lists in France listed on its website, to be printed in one click!

Indeed, maternity wards in France provide future mothers with a complete list to put together  their baby's birth suitcase . This list  differs  depending on the health establishment. In an effort to support future parents,  Ma Première Valise  has taken care to bring together the complete lists of each maternity ward in France, in order to produce a “typical” list.

For the birthing room:

  • 1  cotton hat
  • 1  long-sleeved bodysuit
  • 1  thick pajamas
  • 1  thin pajamas

We also suggest that you bring a  wool bra with a front closure made of 15% wool and 85% cotton (15% wool is enough to maintain your baby's body temperature at birth).

For the stay in the maternity ward:

  •  bodysuits
  • 1 complete toiletry bag
  • 1  cotton hat
  • 3  pairs of socks
  • 5  fine pajamas
  • 2  sleeping bags also called sleeping bags (summer and winter)
  • 2  bibs
  • 1  pair of slippers
  • 1  cuddly toy

Advice from mothers  : to change your baby gently, choose clothes with snap buttons at the crotch and a wrap-around opening. We also recommend clothing with integrated anti-scratch mittens to protect your baby from scratches. Finally, choose clothes that do not have labels so as not to scratch your baby's skin.
